Michele Holstad, LPC, CCADC, NCC
Director
Michele is a Licensed
Professional Counselor and has been working in the area of substance
abuse and family violence for 15 years. Michele produced a prevention
video on family violence called "Black and Blue, I Love You". Some of
Michele's many counseling specialty areas are: grief and loss,
depression, anxiety, infertility, substance abuse, family violence,
addictions, teen behavioral problems, sexual/gender issues, and
divorce. Michele works with families, couples, and individuals.

Laura Howell, MS
Laura recently completed her Master's
Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology and is on track for licensure
in the fall. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Clinical
Psychology. Laura brings to the practice cross-cultural experience and
over 10 years of experience working with women and children in crisis.
Her specialties include: anger management, addictions, family
violence, substance abuse and trauma. Laura welcomes individuals,
couples, and families from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Diana
Kinard, LCSW, ACSW
Diana is a licensed clinical social worker with
over 20 years experience working with families, crisis management
and adolescent therapy. She has worked extensively with families on
behavioral problems, parenting issues, and school advocacy. Diana
also facilitates groups dealing with substance abuse and family
violence.

Tina
Office Manager
Tina has been the office manager for
seven years. She has a degree in Business Administration from Asher
College and 18+ years of administrative experience with the US Army
both as a soldier and a civilian. Tina will gladly assist with any
payment or insurance billing questions.

Tonya
Office Assistant
Tonya has been the Assistant Office Manager since
2001. She has a B.S. in Psychology and loves animals. She hopes to
continue her education in the Psychology field and learn more about
pet therapy.

Pooh Bear, PTC
Pooh has
been a Pet Therapy Cat for three years. He joined Atlanta Family
Counseling Center in 2002 and has brought comfort to many. Just Pooh's
presence can help create a relaxed environment for healing.
